WHAT
The Sculptors Invitational Art Show.
Our 10th Multi-national multi-state outdoor sculpture exhibit has grown! New is our 2nd outdoor professional art show. We have partnered with several state art organizations. The Texas Society of Sculptors (TSOS of Austin), The San Antonio Visual Artists (SAVA), and Inspire Art Center and Texas Sculpture Association of Dallas. The Sculptors Invitational Art Show is an Official Fiesta San Antonio Event! and the first professional art event of Fiesta: sculpture plus paintings! Our original classic show: 60 sculptors from 8 countries and 15 states with 100 sculptures; is now adding professional artists who will sell paintings, small sculptures and other designs of art.

Grand opening April 7. 11a - 4p.
Our Art sale of paintings and small sculpture is April 7 only. Continuing is our 100 outdoor large sculptures show and sale from April 7 to April 29 - the 4 weekends of April: All shows are only on Saturdays and Sundays 11am to 4pm. Park free at School. [Note April 8 is Easter Sunday, time is 12noon to 4p for the holiday].

WHY-
SDI, Inc. 501c3 is pursuing excellence in outdoor sculpture and art by offering education, exhibits and unique celebration. It is to help the professional sculptors and artists to making a living, it is for the community to see and enjoy, and for the arts patron and the arts organizations who also pursue the creative cultures. The show proceeds fund the show and kids summer camp educational and other scholarships. SDI offers membership and art instruction opportunity and artist friendship and comradery, finally in celebration SDI offers receptions and gala events.
HOW MUCH
Entrance is $5.
$5 fee with sign in signature good for free return to remaining April weekend shows, 8 shows total; bring back a friend or camera! The show schedules grade school children tours for free; now exceeding 6000 kids from local schools. Call tor information.

More Venue: It is set around a 90 year old country stone mansion on a 6 acre estate. Over 100 sculptures are displayed anually, at the residence of former Texas Secretary of State Roy R. Barrera Sr. and Carmen Z. Barrera. [see LOCATION - MAPQUEST].Our venue of 6 residential gardened acres offers viewers over an hours worth of easy self tour of botanical enjoyment and art-eye-candy. A sculpture and art exhibit of this scale and quantity is rare. Free grade school tours with school teacher by appointment. Volunteer artists will be demonstrating sculpture, art, music and dance. The Invitational is an official Fiesta event with 100 other events in April. Park free across the street at the school. VIA bus stops at venue site. 80% wheelchair accessible viewing.

Me. The SDI was founded by and is hosted by Gilbert E Barrera, sculptor. Barrera is: past president emeritus of the Texas Society of Sculptors; Director of Sculptors Dominion - creator of Sculptors Invitational, and Sculptors Academy; Member of The American Portrait Society, ... of the San Antonio Cultural Alliance; and a Fiesta San Antonio Commissioner/ member; and board member of the San Antonio Fire Museum Society.
