A Kids Sculpture Camp Series

This is absolutely the most advanced course in sculpture for kids. It is designed for kids already showing grades of 'A' or marks of E for excellence in their school art work. It is designed for kids who want to be here. It will build visualization/ conceptualization skills, along side of hand skills and creative confidence. The program emphasizes exposure to several types of sculpture processes and provides an education in hands on 'see do' activity.

CORE PROGRAM.
MTW. Morning. 8a arrive, 830a photography of sculpture, 9a drawing of sculpture, 945a clay modeling of sculpture, 11a Lunch. After lunch then 1145 stone sculpture, and time permiting or on alternate days 1230p cement sculpture and or blacksmith forge sculpture. 145p to 2:15 pick up. 2pm close.

>Parents Note. After 2:30pm a $10 late pick up charge for first 30 minutes until 3pm.
$20 for second hour up to 4p and then $20 for each additional hour. Your child will be barred from the next class or program until the late charges are paid.

ROAD TRIP.
Thursday. Morning. 8a arrive. 830a Leave to draw and photograph sculptures at museums and other venues. 10a museums open. 11:15 leave for lunch on the road, 12:30 head home, 1pm home and pick up, 2pm close.

Everyone: Bring your lunch, drink. Refrigerator/ microwave available. Tools, materials, equipment will be loaned, supplied or shared or re-used. Its best if you own your own. Art materials such as clay will be provided, A camera will be loaned, your own camera is best, drawing board/ clay board will be loaned, some or all tools/ materials will be loaned/ or shared or re-used.
Returning students:bring your tool bag you had last summer: tools, supplies, any materials; stone sculpture hammer, chisel, camera/batteries, drawing pencil case with pencils etc., drawing board, clay and clay board.
New students. I will have ten sets of tools for loan, to the first 10 registered/paid, after that you will have to share or purchase your tools at Asels Art or Herwicks or online, unless you have your own.

POLICY

Policy. Kids may bring headsets for personal music only, no open air music players. Kids may also bring their phone for "short message calls" only from a parent only of up to 2 minutes. No handset electronic games.

Zero tolerance policy for non-participation in art assignments or misbehavior, pushing, bullying, being mean; Infractions yield risk that your child must leave without refund. Remind your child of this each time you drop them here.

One Warning for children who distract another child from doing art. Your child will only be given one warning. Distractions are deemed such at the discretion of the director. Second distraction is grounds for removal of child without return or refund.

Parents will be advised their child is not doing art. Parents will be called if the child is feeling sick or is sick to pick them up. As well if the child is just not doing any program or refusing to do art projects.

NOTE. We have no medical training! Parents, we are not trained or staffed to handle ALLERGY OR MEDICAL SENSITIVITY kids that are of an extreme or life and death circumstance.

We are all outdoors; our provisions for eating or drinking are economically efficient for group purchases and we are not funded or staffed for specialized foods or eating areas such as may be prescribed by medical or religious or cultural differences. Please do not put us or your child at risk.
