Fees below are for non-scholarship students who can demonstrate grades A in art courses or upon presentation of a satisfactory portfolio [show a collection of your visual art works in a folder or on your website].

Program
A typical 5 hour program per day would be about 45 minutes each of photography, drawing, lunch, then clay and stone [or cement or wood] technique. The first month would be structured and the second month would be self creative with supervision and guidance.

Kids [ages 8 to 12] recieve classes in the following areas of which will be focused on sculpture: classes will use sculpture in the sculpture garden for photography, for drawing subject, for clay modeling of sculptures, stone sculpture technique, cement sculpture process, and wood sculpture technique demonstration.

Note: Full session includes tools/ supplies/ lunch; half session includes supplies and lunch, loaned tools; [One day try out available at $31.25, tools loaned, material included, bring own lunch]. Ttuition can be discounted 10% if you are a SDI Basic member ($30). For past sessions see YouTube Kid Workshop Photos. Option: Separate purchase of tools/ materials at most local art stores including Asels on Callahan Rd, or online at any art supply store nationwides.

Kids recieve instruction via a 100 big sculptures 'library' on a 6 acre sculpture garden venue; go 'on location' for photography sessions; sit live for drawing and clay modeling; recieve professional technique instruction from a sculptor in stone and cement sculpture processes; and a demo in wood carving. All kids create hands on for up to 5 hours a day including practice sessions in class art critique and professional sculpture group description and discussion. A reception and exhibit of best work is on the last day.

This is absolutely the most advanced course in sculpture for kids in the state of Texas, perhaps beyond. It is designed for kids already showing grades of 'A' in their school work. It will build visualization/ conceptualization skills, along side of hand skills and creative confidence.
